Gift Finder inspires people, who are struggling with finding “something new” every Christmas.

About the project
During the Christmas season we set up a short-term Interdisciplinary Christmas Experience Team. Tech, Sales, Content Management and Marketing Specialists work together to find out how to provide a better customer experience during the Christmas season.
Assumptions, Validation and Ideation

We had few assumptions, what could be our customers’ pains based on what bothers us mostly to prepare Charistmas gifts. To validate our assumptions, we created a survey and around 300 customers participated in that.

 

To make two most painful experiences better we focused on the following “How might we…” questions.

1. I don’t know what to buy.

How might we inspire people, when they are trying to find something new this year?

Gift Finder

By the selection of the ages and interests of a person, who will get the present, Gift Finder recommends products. Not to make our customers bored with typical suggestions, the product palettes include some unexpected proposals.

2. The delivery is mostly delayed during the Christmas season, but anyway I buy gifts at the last possible moment.

How might we support our customers not to miss Christmas Eve’s gift exchange moments despite their last minute decisions?

Same-day-delivery service

The same-day-delivery is not only a time-based service, but also offers the whole package to prepare gifts – Christmas cards and wrapping papers were delivered as a surprise!

Doubled conversion rate
The conversion rate from the tool was around twice as high as the actual shop, what we were very proud of.

After the success siroop offered the tool for special days e.g. Valentines Day, Mothers Day and Easters.
